Ronald Martineau

President

For over thirty years, I have been a consultant to business leaders in the development of their marketing and market development strategies. My involvement with LumiVie is to share my experiences so that the organization can help more bereaved people.

Nadine Audet

Vice-President

After a career of more than thirty-five years as a director in an international company, I retired in 2022. I was able to take advantage of a very precious help from LumiVie following the death of my long-time supporter, my father.

Acting as a member of the Board of Directors of LumiVie represents for me an opportunity to help the organization increase its influence among people who are bereaved or about to be.

Caroline Maltais

Treasurer

With a bachelor’s degree in administration, specializing in human resources, I have worked in human resources and talent acquisition for nearly 30 years. My career has taken me from L’Équipe Spectra to the cultural sector, where I spent almost 20 years. I currently work at Communauto but am approaching retirement.

In September 2025, I joined a LumiVie support group at a pivotal moment in my life. I had just lost my spouse and life partner, the love of my life. At LumiVie, I found a safe space where I could share my grief, be welcomed without judgment, and move forward, step by step, toward a little more light. This group has been incredibly supportive in my personal journey.

When the opportunity arose to volunteer, I felt it was a natural and deeply meaningful way to give back. Supporting others through their own grief is something I find profoundly moving. Furthermore, joining the board of directors of LumiVie, bringing my professional and personal experiences to it, is my way of contributing more to LumiVie’s mission in supporting bereavement.

Josée Desjardins

Secretary

Retired from the healthcare network since 2023, I was a medical technologist by profession, having worked for 21 years in the CISSS de Laval laboratory. I made the leap into management. A graduate of a multidisciplinary bachelor’s degree in management from Université Laval, I have managed several laboratories.

In 2025, LumiVie helped me recover from the tragic death of my husband. The extraordinary team provided me with support, a listening ear, and compassion.

Joining the board of directors is my way of giving back to LumiVie. I bring my professional and personal experience to help the organization in its mission of providing bereavement support.

Normand Legault

Normand Legault

Director

Market gardener from Laval. Bereaved since 2015. I used LumiVie’s services which allowed me to get a new look on life. By its active listening and empathy, LumiVie brings relief to the grief that makes us lose our way.

Ian Boulay

Administrator

I retired from the mining industry in 2022.

My career was very stimulating. The numerous trips I made allowed me to meet diverse communities, including the people of Nunavut, with whom I finished my career as a trainer.

All these years of work have helped me develop certain skills, including my adaptability.

Today, I wish to use my sensitivity and respect for people. Coming from a large family, I am surrounded by close relatives.

I want to give back and contribute my ideas to the important mission of LumiVie.

Johanne Longtin

Administrator

After the death of my partner, I found invaluable and comforting support at LumiVie. Their caring presence helped me move forward one step at a time and led me to participate in various bereavement-related activities.

Since 2024, I have also had the privilege of co-facilitating groups where listening, sharing, and hope allow everyone to feel welcomed on their journey. Joining the LumiVie board of directors is a wonderful way for me to offer, in turn, a warm and human presence to those who need to feel they are not alone.

I wish to actively contribute to this cause that touches me deeply, by supporting the values of compassion, mutual support, and light that are the strength of LumiVie and that gently help people find their way back to peace.

“Even in the darkest moments, a caring presence can gently rekindle the light on the path.”
